Mouth harp, forged, large

Our large mouth harp is hand-forged in iron, and the model is very typical of the Viking Age and early Middle Ages. The size is slightly larger than the most commonly occurring finds. This makes for a mouth harp that is easier to play and produces a darker tone with longer sustain. The mouth harp is one of the world's oldest instruments and has spread across almost the entire world in various forms. The mouth harp came from Asia to Europe during the Iron Age/early Middle Ages. On Gotland, an iron-age bronze mouth harp has been found, among other things.
