Viking scissors with ski, British islands. Semi sharp

 This hand-made scissors or saex was one of the western Vikings’ favorite weapons and features a time-typical handmade leather slide. The model is based on British findings of this type of long one-egged combat knives. Cavel in polished box. Set, button and ring in brass. The slide is typical of the Viking Age and has two eyelets for the belt, the knife then hangs horizontally on the front or back of the body.

The clinga is handmade in carbon steel and hardened with oil and then applied in a traditional way. The blade is marked with Nordly’s “switch mark” so you can be sure that the scissors come from our forge. Note that the blade on this model is delivered hardened and semi sharply, the blade and can also be sharpened. The model is intended only for collectors and decorative or ceremonial use. We do not recommend using this model for historical struggle.
