A handmade bone isolation, based on a Viking Age find from York, England. The original is dated to the 9th century.
The dice has 6 pages, each side is numbered, with dots, from 1 to 6. Can be used as a regular dice at play, with the difference that you roll the dice.
The Vikings played many different games. Of them, many seem to have been with dice, iaf if one is to proceed from the amount of dice one finds during excavations. In York, a variety of dice are found, all of which differ in shape and performance. Many of them haven’t been symmetrical, and it doesn’t seem that important to the Vikings. Perhaps that’s because you believed in destiny and that’s why you had a different attitude toward the concept of luck than you have today.
