Nordlys Viking B2B
Ochre yellow glass bead, Hellevi Gotland
Copy of a find from Gotland.
A small yellow composite bead, found during excavations in Hellvi on Gotland in Sweden. The bead was found together with other glass and carnelian (stone) beads. The original is from the Viking Age. Gotland is one of the most "treasure-rich" places in the world. The glass bead is a historical reproduction and handmade using the same technique—melting glass rods onto a metal pin—that the Vikings used.
