Cup with ear

This cup is inspired by a small cup found in Birka, featuring the same round shape and a handle. There is also a find in Denmark of a small black-fired cup with a handle. The cup is made of clay and black-fired using pit firing, just like the Vikings made their pottery. The black-firing gives a slightly mottled and very glossy black colour, reminiscent of graphite.
