Five lobed viking sword

 Hand-forged replica of a 10th-century Scandinavian Viking sword. Handmade using the same techniques used by Vikings 1000 years ago. Forged from high-quality steel, oil-tempered, and traditionally annealed over a charcoal forge. Additionally, the blade is marked with the Nordlys™ maker's mark so you can be sure you have an authentic sword from our own forge.

  The handle is wrapped in brown leather, which pairs well with the brown braided leather cords that decorate the black leather scabbard. The period-appropriate five-part pommel, together with the patterned bronze chape, immediately identifies the sword as a genuine Viking sword.

The scabbard is also handmade as a replica with a wooden core and leather stretched over the outside. Viking-age swords were traditionally worn with two belts, one over the opposite shoulder and one around the waist. The two belts relieved and distributed the weight of the sword and ran through a loop on the scabbard called a belt bridge, which on this scabbard—just like on most originals—is made of wood.
