This hand-forged replica of a 1000-century Viking sword found in Sweden is handmade in high-quality steel, hardened in oil and annealed in the traditional way over a charcoal ace. With a handle wrapped in brown leather, a round button and a wide, thin paring bar, this sword takes on a classic look that we recognize from the late Viking Age and early Middle Ages. The blade is marked with the Nordlys™ "blacksmith's mark", which ensures quality and proves that you have a genuine sword from our blacksmiths.
The ski has a wooden frame and is covered in brown leather and decorated with black bands and inlays. The belt buckle is made of wood and the dip shoe is made of bronze with Viking-era decorations. Viking-era swords were usually worn with two belts, one over the opposite shoulder and one around the waist, the belts held the sword in a buckle on the scabbard called a belt bridge.
