Daneaxe, wooden toy made of birch wood

The Dane axe is perhaps the most famous of all Viking weapons. It was also the axe that gave the Vikings their supremacy on every battlefield. A must-have for any aspiring young Viking warrior.

The wooden axe is handmade from durable birch wood. The color of the axe head is achieved through careful burning and is not painted. The handle is wrapped with faux leather and natural fiber. In designing the axe, we drew inspiration both from the real Dane axes used by the Vikings and from archaeological finds of wooden toys from the Viking age.
