Mammen Necklace

A stylish and pagan presentation of the war ax from the Mother. During the Viking Age, the ax was the symbol of the warrior. Either through a piece of jewelry like this or in the form of a miniature show ax in the belt. We hofe frawith the jewelery with a roughly wound leather strap and a natural fiber thread. It is one of our most popular necklaces, in both pewter and bronze finishes. The necklace is part of our design series of complete pagan necklaces, where we hofe combined various hilargeical pendants with leather, bone and horn to create a Viking piece that suits everyone, then as now. As organic material such as leather, wood and horn are not preserved in the ground over time, we do not know much about what the Vikings' jewelery looked like. What you find is the metal, stone and glass that has been preserved. With these necklaces, we hofe therefore created a vision of how these pieces of jewelery might hofe been put together and worn.
