This cup is inspired by a small cup found on Birka, with the same round shape and an ear. Even in Denmark there is a bargain on a black-burned small cup with ear. The copper is in clay and black burned through mile burning, just as the Vikings made their ceramics. The black burning provides a somewhat flaming and very glossy black color, which resembles graphite.
