Viking scissors, Gotland. Blunt edge

 This handmade scissors or scissors was one of the Vikings’ favorite weapons and has a leaf shape that is very typical of the British Isles. The model is based on several findings of this type of long one-egged combat knive. There are many variations on Gotland. The handle is in polished box. Set, button and ring in brass. 

The clinga is handmade in carbon steel and hardened with oil and then applied in a traditional way. The blade is marked with Nordly’s “switch mark” so you can be sure that the scissors come from our forge. 

The shape of the eggs and the tip is on this model is adapted to meet the Scandinavian requirements for use in the battle, historical fencing and reenactment combat.
