Viking sax with decorated ski, Gotland. Semi sharp

This handmade scissors was one of the Scandinavian Vikings’ favorite weapons and features a time-typical handmade leather side with brass seizures. The model is based on several findings of this type of long one-egged combat knives. There are many variations on Gotland. Cavel in polished box. Set, button and ring in brass. The ski is typical of Scandinavia and has two eyelids for the belt, the knife then hangs horizontally on the front of the body and acts both weapons and status symbol.

The clinga is handmade in carbon steel and hardened with oil and then applied in a traditional way. The blade is marked with Nordly’s “switch mark” so you can be sure that the scissors come from our forge.

Note that the blade on this model is delivered hardened and semi sharply, the blade and can also be sharpened. The model is intended only for collectors and decorative or ceremonial use. We do not recommend using this model for historical struggle.
